 Lower Eden: where to stay.
The lower part of the River Eden flows from Armathwaite to its estuary on the Solway Firth. Flowing through small villages such as Wetheral and Warwick on Eden as well as the City of Carlisle this part of the Eden offers a variety of landscapes and excellent game and coarse fishing.
Attractions in the area include the museums, galleries and shops of Carlisle, Hadrians Wall, the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Rockcliffe Marsh Nature Reserve.
As well as fishing the area is also popular with walkers, cyclists and bird watchers.
