What to do in the Eden Valley, CumbriaThe fishing is of the highest quality and there is lots of it but should you, or any non anglers in your group, find yourself looking for other activities you won’t be disappointed!As you might expect in Cumbria, an area with such a wonderful landscape, there are lots of outdoor activities from golf, to sailing and canoeing, to pony trekking. A variety of walks are available from gentle riverside strolls to challenging fells, including Helvellyn. Cycling offers another way of exploring the area with plenty of quiet country roads to discover and the C2C cycle route passing through the valley. A range of visitor attractions cover the history, heritage, culture and wildlife of the area and there are festivals, country fairs and shows happening throughout the year so look out for special events.
